Sri Lankan Cultural Foundation of Werribee (SLCFOW) is an association incorporated in Victoria. SLCFOW promotes Sri Lankan culture with a view to helping Western Melbournians of Sri Lankan heritage to appreciate and uphold Sri Lankan culture, customs and traditions. The origins of the SLCFOW dates back to early 1990's. Since its inception, SLCFOW has been organising many regular cultural and social programs on annual basis. Membership of SLCFOW is open to everyone interested in promoting Sri Lankan culture, customs and traditions.

In early 1990's a couple of families of Sri Lankan origin living in the Western suburbs of Melbourne identified the need to introduce Sri Lankan customs and traditions to their children. Consequently, they started celebrating Sinhala and Tamil New Year at the Point Cook Coastal Park, in April every year.

By this time, a Sinhalese Language School had also been formed in Werribee to teach Sinhala Language to children. As the organisers of the Sinhalese Language School and its patrons were also involved with the New Year festival, it was decided to establish a formal association to organise and hold cultural events including the New Year festival.

As a result, Sri Lankan Cultural Foundation of Werribee was formed as an incorporated association in September 2010 to promote Sri Lankan cultural and social values.

The management committee of SLCFOW includes members representing the Sinhalese Language School of Werribee and Sunday School of Werribee. SLCFOW also maintains a close relationship with other similar cultural and religious organisations, and community groups. The Annual General Meeting of SLCFOW is held typically in September to elect the office bearers and management committee, and to present the annual accounts.

SLCFOW organises many regular events to promote Sri Lankan culture, foster fellowship among its members and their families, and to provide a service to the wider community. These events include participation in the Clean-up Australia Day, Sinhala and Tamil New Year Festival, Buddhist Dhamma Sermons, Christmas Carols, Musical Events, BBQs and Annual Get-together.
